Big Square is a casual dining, Kenyan restaurant founded in 2012. The first restaurant was first opened at Karen Square which later closed down allowing expansion into 11 branches in Nairobi (10) and Mombasa (1).

Our Story
In 2015, the PIZZA MOJO brand was introduced in Nairobi with the first outlet opening next to Big Square at Adlife Plaza. The service style followed the Big Square self-order tick menu concept including a “create your own section”. Seldom alone, either with friends or family, the Nouveau African, ambitious, optimistic about their future and prepared to spend cash in spaces that are not home and not work. With this spirit of togetherness, our pizza is MADE FOR SHARING.
Since 2016, we dropped the separate branding of PIZZA MOJO to become Big Square Kenya with a unified look that’s hard to miss. This resulted in a cool, relaxed ambience perfect for your family and friends, oozing big flavour and big vibes too!
THE JOURNEY
Phase 1
Provide home recipes made with love, made fresh and locally sourced to create a thriving ecosystem of suppliers and employees. Our values of passion, quality, integrity and dignity creates an environment that allows all walks of life to flourish.
Phase 2
Establish four new outlets in Nairobi. Upgrade the logo design, service style and restaurant ambience to suit the ambitions of creating a niche market in the casual dining category. At this time, Interstart Limited employed over 200 employees by the end of 2016.
Phase 3
Disrupt the casual dining landscape with innovative menu concepts that suit the ever-changing sophisticated needs and pallet of our consumers. Currently at about 500 employees, we have many more moments to share with you!

To top up this experience, we serve signature cocktails, fruity sangria and great brew with unmatched taste. Occasionally, we host various events at our branches including karaoke nights, game nights, live band performances and family fun days, among others.

Big Square was inspired to create a space that celebrates its four cornerstones: food, family, friends and fun. Forming the perfect square. We value our customers’ convenience and because of that, quick and efficient food deliveries is part of our business model.
